How it Works The SonicWALL SSL VPN on UTM solution utilizes the SonicWALL NetExtender software in combination with a SonicWALL UTM appliance. The remote user only needs to have an internet connection and they can access their network through the SonicWALL portal from any web browser. A small (thin client) Active-X component is installed on the remote users system and connectivity is provided according to policies defined on the SonicWALL UTM device.
